1. Driver, Food Recovery and Distribution
The Driver position is a key player on the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle’s Food Recovery and Distribution Team. Each day, nearly 23,000 pounds of food is recovered from manufacturers, wholesalers, grocery stores, local farmers, restaurants, and other locations. 3. Programs Coordinator
POSITION SUMMARY: The Programs Coordinator position is responsible for the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle’s Grocery Bag for Seniors Program as well as oversight and support of volunteer weekday Grocery Bag and BackPack Buddy volunteer groups at the IFFS. The coordinator is responsible for Grocery Bag for Seniors program design, implementation, evaluation, daily activity, packing activity, and site coordination. The coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that all program related volunteers are treated with respect and gratitude and that the volunteer experience is rewarding and impactful. In addition, Program Coordinator will also support the Senior Program Manager and Child Hunger Programs Supervisor in planning, implementing, evaluating, tracking, documenting, and improving all programs of the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle (IFFS). Programs include: Grocery Bags for Seniors, Mobile Markets, Back Pack Buddies, and School Pantries.
